Do you want to promote systemic changes at EU level for the protection of the environment, climate and human rights? Are you interested in participating in a project with European and global impact?
Frank Bold is hiring a Communications Assistant to join its Responsible Companies team working to strengthen corporate sustainability rules.
We lead the work on the EU framework for corporate transparency, sustainability and human rights due diligence. We have played an important role in setting key legislation in this area - Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. Our efforts are focused on meaningful and effective implementation of these legislation by business, whilst defending them against deregulation, and anti-ESG backlash.
We are coordinating the Alliance for Corporate Transparency, a platform made up of over 20 major non-profit organisations, collaborating with responsible investors, and business leaders. We are a leading member of the European Coalition for Corporate Justice.
Drafting and updating content for the Frank Bold website
Developing communication outputs for the advocacy and research work (reports, briefings, etc.)
Supporting the development of social media content (LinkedIn)
Supporting the production and dissemination of the Frankly Speaking podcast (research and preparation for episodes, dissemination on social media, etc.)
Supporting the preparation of events and meetings

Phone interviews with short-listed candidates will be organised on a rolling basis.
Selected candidates will be invited to a personal interview which will take place in Brussels or online. Expectation to join the team as soon as January 25.

Trainee position: 38 hours (possible flexibility of 80 %)
Type of contract: 6 months (CIP), with a possible option to extend for a further 6 months, if mutually agreed.
Remuneration: Between 1100 EUR to 1300 EUR (depending on experience)
Working place in Brussels or other cities in Belgium, or Cologne with occasional travel.
Flexible working hours and possibility to work partly from home.
The Communications Assistant will report to the Communications Officer. He/she will also receive support from other members of the Policy and Advocacy team.
You have some experience with copywriting, website content management systems, and social media (LinkedIn in particular).
You have some experience in graphic design (Canva, Figma, or Adobe programmes).
You have experience or can demonstrate understanding of EU policy making, corporate responsibility and sustainability topics and are able to quickly familiarise yourself with new topics through research, policy documents or expert publications.
You possess excellent organisation skills, English proficiency and want to work in an international environment. French and other EU languages will be an advantage.
