MPG is focused on increasing its visibility and strengthening its profile. Effective communications are essential to achieving this goal, but our resources are limited. Therefore, we are looking for a Communications Intern to support our efforts to convey the outcomes and impact of our projects and research more effectively. The intern will help engage key audiences, including European, national, and local policymakers, decision-makers, and Civil Society Organisations—especially migrant-led leaders. The role also involves enhancing our visibility in European and national media and expanding our reach and collaborations with other academics.
As a Communications Intern at MPG, you will gain hands-on experience in strategic communications, essential for elevating an organisation’s profile. You will learn how to craft engaging content for various platforms, including our website and social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube), while maintaining a consistent posting schedule. You’ll assist in producing our monthly Newsletter, monitor analytics to gauge impact, and support media relations by tracking coverage and trends. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to connect with members of the European NGO Platform for Asylum and Migration (EPAM), deepening your understanding of advocacy and policy work. This role is ideal for a communications enthusiast eager to make an impact and learn alongside a committed team.
You will be working under the guidance of and in close cooperation with MPG’s Communications Manager but also involved in various projects and task liaising with other members of our team.
Paid six months internship under Belgium’s ‘Convention d’Immersion Professionelle’ of €1015 per month + luncheon vouchers.
You will be working at MPG office in Brussels between 9:00 and 17:30 with a possibility of teleworking two days a week.
