Safe Food Advocacy Europe is looking for an Intern in EU Affairs

Safe Food Advocacy Europe - SAFE is a non-profit independent organization based in Brussels, which strives to ensure that consumers' health and concerns stay at the core of EU food legislation.

SAFE strengthens the voice of European consumers in civil society and contributes to the reinforcement of participatory democracy in Europe.

We are opening an Intern EU affairs position to support SAFE's activities, starting in February 2025 for a period of 6 months. The intern will receive a monthly allowance of 400 euros. The intern must sign an internship agreement with their university and preferably benefit from a scholarship (eg: Erasmus+).

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Studying (Master's degree) related to EU affairs;

  • Legal eligibility to work in the EU is a must;

  • Good editing, communication, research and writing skills;

  • Be an independent, proactive, problem solver and team player person;

  • Excellent English with strong communication skills (spoken and written), professional level in French is a plus.

MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation and implementation of consumer-oriented awareness-raising campaigns;

  • Support the team in managing several food-related EU projects;

  • Conduct research, prepare articles;

  • Support project implementation;

  • Organize project meetings, events;

  • Compile and draft project reports;

WHAT WE OFFER
