About ERRIN

The European Regions Research and Innovation Network (ERRIN) is a well-known Brussels-based platform that gathers around 120 regional organisations from more than 20 European countries. ERRIN supports members to develop their R&I ecosystems, brings a place-based perspective to European research and innovation policy and funding, and facilitates access to project opportunities for members.

Overview of the role

The Project and Policy Manager will work to position ERRIN and its members at the forefront of key R&I initiatives related to culture and creativity and across key thematic areas such as tourism, cultural heritage and the New European Bauhaus.

The successful candidate will do so by leading the activities of the Culture and Creativity cluster (New European Bauhaus Taskforce, Cultural Heritage and Tourism, and Design and Creativity Working Groups) and collaborating with members through relevant working groups. They will also work closely with the Head of Projects to develop and implement strategic projects in the field of Culture and Creativity.

Responsibilities

Working groups

  • Facilitate the New European Bauhaus Taskforce and the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Working Group and coordinate the activities of the Culture and Creativity cluster within the team

  • Support the above-mentioned Working Groups to develop the annual work plans, define priorities and support the organisation of activities

  • Stay up to date with key processes and initiatives run by the European Commission related to culture and creativity and make sure they are embedded into the annual work plans of the Working Groups

  • Identify synergies beyond the cluster, fostering green and digital transformation aspects of the cluster and the R&I dimension of culture and creativity.

Project development and implementation

  • Work closely with the Head of Projects to develop a pipeline of strategic projects in the field of Culture and Creativity, building on the legacy of past projects in line with ERRIN priorities

  • Actively develop and create further synergies between ERRIN projects and Working Groups

  • Together with the project team, maintain good quality and develop further project development services for the ERRIN members

  • Manage future EU-funded projects on culture and creativity

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree

  • At least 3 years’ experience in EU project management in the area of culture and creativity

  • Good understanding of European R&I policy and the related funding programmes, in particular Horizon Europe

  • Experience in working at local and/or regional level

  • Experience in working with and coordinating multiple stakeholders

  • Full professional proficiency in English

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and team attitude

  • Ability to efficiently set and handle multiple deadlines and priorities

Conditions

We offer a permanent contract with a competitive monthly gross salary between € 3000 and € 3500 depending on experience. Other benefits include 13th month, hospitalisation and healthcare insurance, meal vouchers, ecocheques and transport pass for Brussels.

The average weekly working time at ERRIN is set at 40h/week with a reduction in working time (RTT – one day off per month on top of annual leave).

ERRIN promotes a healthy work-life balance and offers a flexible office/homeworking schedule.

The candidate is expected to start as soon as possible and should be based in Brussels or willing to relocate at the start of their contract.
